Class Level Guide

Centred
Slower-paced. More time per movement. Individual attention and clear explanation throughout. Emphasis on control, breath, and building movement confidence. Your body is met where it is.
Best for: New to Pilates. Returning from injury. Managing ongoing discomfort. Preferring a slower, more considered pace. Mature clients wanting to stay strong and mobile without being rushed.

Foundation
Considered pace with clear guidance and options. Strong emphasis on alignment, technique, and quality of movement. Progression is thoughtful and never rushed.
Best for: New to Pilates or returning after time off. Pain-free or managing mild, well-understood discomfort. Wanting to learn to move well before progressing to more dynamic work.

Flow
Dynamic, continuous movement. Longer sequences, increased coordination, changes in tempo. Full body integration. Challenging – but never at the expense of technique.
Best for: Confident with Pilates fundamentals. Ready for more continuity and challenge. Enjoys moving dynamically while staying connected to quality and control.
Your Movement Assessment
Every journey at Centred Pilates begins here. Your Movement Assessment is a private, one-on-one session with a qualified teacher. We talk through your medical and injury history, your goals, and what is going on in your body right now. Then we assess your posture, movement patterns, and functional ability.
From there, we design a path forward specific to you: which class types suit your needs, what to focus on first, and how we will progress you over time. This is not a sales conversation. It is a clinical evaluation. It is the reason our clients trus us with their bodies.

Mat classes focus on learning to move well using your own body weight. Clear, structured exercises with options offered throughout. Three levels available to suit where you are right now.

Centred Mat
Slower-paced, supportive Mat Class focused on quality, control, and movement confidence.
This class is ideal if you are new to Pilates, returning after injury, managing ongoing discomfort, or simply prefer a more considered approach to movement. It is also a great option for mature clients who want ot stay strong and mobile without feeling rushed or pushed.
Exercises are adapted to provide support where needed, allowing you to build strength safely and steadily. The emphasis is on quality over complexity – you will have time to understand each movement, ask questions, and move in a way that feels approprate for your body.

Mat Foundation
A technique-focused class dsigend to build strength, control, and cofidence using mat-based Pilates.
The class returns to the core principles of Pilates – alignment, breath, and quality of movement. Working on the mat builds body awareness and core strength without relying on equipment for support.
Foundation Mat is ideal if you are new to Pilates, returning after a break, or wanting to refine how you move. The pace is considered, with clear guidance and optons throughout. There is still room to be challenged, but progression is thoughtful and never rushed.
Suitability: best suited for clients who can move comfortabley without ongoing or unexplained pain. If you are unsure which movements aggravate your body, start with Centred Mat.
Mat Flow
A more dynamic Pilates class that links movements together with greater continuity and challenge.
These classes build on foundational mat work while maintaining a strong focus on control, alignment, and movement quality. Expect longer sequences, changes in tempo, and full-body integration. Flow classes are continous and engagind, encouraging you to connect your movement from start to finish.
Flow Mat is best suited to clients who feel confident with Pilates fundamentals and enjoy moving continuously. You will leave feeling worked, capable, and energised – without losing the integrity of the Pilates method.
Suitability: designed for clients who can move confidently without persistent or unexplained pain. If you are unsure how to modify safely, Centred Mat is the better place to start.

Reformer Classes – Two Levels · One Men’s Class
Our Reformer classes are where real strength is built. The springs provide resistance your body canot replicate on a mat, allowing us to load your muscles precisesly, support your joints, and progress your srength in ways specific to your goals. With a maximum of four people per class, your teacher knows your body, your history, and what you are working towards.

Reformer Foundation
Foundation Reformer focuses on building strong, confident movement using the support and feedback of the Reformer. These classes emphasise alignment, control, and technique – helping you understand how to move well before progressing into more dynamic work.
The springs provide both assistance and resistance, making it easier to feel correct movement patterns while building strength safely. The pace is considered and the instruction clear, with options offered so you can work within your body’s current capacity.
Suitability: best suited fo clients who are pain-fee or managing very mild, well-understood discomfort. If you are unsure how to modify safely, we recommend building through Centred Mat before progressing to the Reformer.

Reformer Flow
Flow Reformer is a dynamic, full-body class for clients with a solid understanding of Reformer fundamentals. Expect longer sequences, increased coordination, and more continuous movement – while still prioritising alignment and control.
These classes are for clients who feel confident on the Reformer and are ready to move with greater energy, challenge, and continuity. You will leave feeling worked, capable, and energised.
Suitability: not suitable if you are experiencing unexplained or ongoing pain, or are unsure what movements to avoid. Foundation Reformer provides a safer, more supported starting point.

Bro-Lates
Bro-Lates is Reformer Pilates designed specifically for men who want to move better, build real core strength, and take control of their back health. Whether you are dealing with chronic pain, recovering from injury, or simply tired of feeling stiff and restricted.
No Pilates experience needed. No flexibility required. Just a willingness to show up and do the work: What to expect: A combination of Reformer and Mat Pilates in a small focused group group of up to 4 men, targeting muscles that support and protect your spine – so that you can lift heavier, sit longer, train harder, and feel stronger in everything you do. Every session is intentional, intelligent, and built around how your body actually moves.

Studio Equipment Classes begin with a 5-15 minute mat-based warm up, followed by individualised work across five pieces of Pilates Apparatus.

Studio Equipment
After warmin up together on the mat in the first 10-15 min. of class, clients rotate through the Reformer, Trapeze Table, Chair, Ladder Barrel, and Spine Corrector. Exercises are selected and adapted by the instructor based on your body, movement needs, and experience level – rather than everyone doing the same thing. This makes Studio Equipment the most personalised class format available at Centred Studios.
Whether you are working on rehabilitation, building strength, or exploring the full range of what Pilates can offer, the apparatus allows us to address your body from every angle with precision and adaptibility.

Private Sessions 1:1
Private sessions are how every client begins at Centred Studios – through our Movement Assessment. They are also the format of choice for clients with complex needs: post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain management, pregnancy, or specific conditions like scoliosis.
Likewise if you want to fully emerse yourself into Pilates and learn more about the Method and your body, then this is the best choice for you.

Semi-private Sessions 2:1
Two-on-one sessions still offer personalised attention but shared with a partner, friend, or family member at the same stage of the journey. You wont be doing exactly the same exercises throughout the session as we want to maintain the individuality of the program and honour the needs of each of your bodies. It is a great opportunity to share some quality time and experience together while also sharing the cost.

Subscriptions are our recommended Membership at Centred. Your commitment will show you the results and progress you are coming for as your instructor knows your body and progress is tracked. You are part of a community of people who show up for themselves and are getting the best price option here.
Flexible Packages are available in 5 and some in 10 concessions at a disounted rate. Mat packages cover all three mat levels. Reformer and Studio Eqipment packages can be used interchangeably across both modalities.
Single Classes can be booked at our drop-in rate where spaces are available. This is a good start if you want to try out something new before you are commiting.
